I’m not sure how long Dawning Restaurant has been around, but I remember going here for breakfast before the pandemic hit a few years ago.
Dawning Restaurant is family-run and owned, and exudes that local, ma & pa shop feel. I was taken care of by both a server AND the owner during my latest stay—I love when owners do this.
You can find Dawning Restaurant on Portage Avenue in the West end of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Affordable Menu Options
With the cost of living spiking, along with gas prices and everything else—It’s nice to find a good deal. At Dawning Restaurant, you’ll find nothing but affordable menu options. I ordered Eggs Benedict with housemade hashbrowns and a black coffee—it cost me $14.00. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a homemade breakfast in Winnipeg that is this cheap AND good.
