Beer Paradise
Attention Winnipeg craft beer lovers!
Here’s my trip to the Beer Boutique
The Beer Boutique in Winnipeg, Manitoba has by far the most variety of craft beer of ANY beer store in Winnipeg. Don’t get me wrong, I have my usual stops for my favourite brews, but the Beer Boutique has pretty much every beer from every local brewery in Winnipeg!
The Beer Boutique opened a couple of years ago in Transcona, at 910 Regent Ave W. Outside the front door, you can see a logo of their iconic mascot, the pink Transcona lawn flamingo.
Check out a review of some of the craft beer I bought during my visit to the Beer Boutique below!

Highlander
Wee Heavy
Stone Angel Brewing always impresses me with their Irish and Scottish regional brews. The Highlander is no exception. With rich notes of butterscotch, honey, and caramel combined, this beer pairs well as a dessert!

Elak
Devil May Care
Rarely do I have the opportunity to sip on wood-aged porters, but the Beer Boutique had the Elak from Devil May Care and I knew I needed to try it. This porter is best served in a warmer glass, next to a fire with something to read. This smokey and nuanced porter is best for sippin’!

Infinite Reflection
Sookram’s Brewing
Sookram’s Brewing is back for another Wander Winnipeg post and it’s really not hard to see why. Their Infinite Reflection is my favourite baltic porter in the city! It’s roasted coffee notes are somewhat sweet and not overly bitter. This beer is STRONG is please drink responsibly.

Peach Cobbler Sour
Fort Garry Brewing
I’m usually not one for sours. The mouthfeel sometimes feels offputting and the sour can be, well, too sour! But this peach cobbler sour from Fort Garry Brewing was exceptional. Serve this up in an iced glass with some frozen peach and have it as a dessert!

Dark Matter Machine
Dastardly Villain
This black ale was SO good. It’s a fusion of an Irish dry stout and a bold North American stout. The result is a complex roasted malt flavour that’s almost like espresso. This was my first time trying Dastardly Villain and I was not disappointed at all.
